Recipe: Chocolate Granola

Super Easy for a Super Breakfast or a Super Bowl.

Be kind to yourself and make a yogurt parfait. Be kind to your friends and head to your super bowl party with a paper sack full of delicious, homemade granola.

You'll be glad you did (and so will your friends)!

Makes 5 cups

 

What you'll need:

Almonds (whole, raw), 1 cup roughly chopped

Pecans (whole, raw), 1 cup, roughly chopped

Oats, 1 cup

Honey, 1/2 cup

Brown sugar, 2 tablespoons

Unsalted butter, 3 tablespoons

Cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons

Cacao nibs, 1/2 cup

Dried cranberries, 1/2 cup

Dark chocolate, 5 ounces, roughly chopped

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. 

In a medium size bowl, combine almonds, pecans, and rolled oats with honey and brown sugar.

Spread evenly on a baking sheet (you may lay a sheet of parchment on the sheet if you'd prefer) and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Melt butter with cocoa powder in a small saucepan. Lightly whisk to combine.

In a clean bowl, combine cacao nibs, cranberries, and the roasted mixture with the melted butter.

Mix in the chopped dark chocolate.
